Lucille M. Mcnulty

December 13, 1937 — April 12, 2025

Lucille (Lucy) McNulty passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025 after a week of being surrounded by her loving family.

She spent many years battling PSP and she fought with strength and determination saying "I will never give up." Sadly, the disease won the battle.

Lucille was born in Rutland, VT on December 13, 1937 to Jane (Cioffi) and Charles P. Ricci. She received her education at St. Peter's Catholic School and graduated from MSJ in 1955. She was very proud of her Italian heritage and was of the belief if you didn't like Italian food, there was something wrong with you.

Our mom, very successfully, raised five children that she loved beyond measure. She went without things in order to give us what we needed. We always came first and she worked very hard to make sure of it. She was always very proud and happy to see us doing well as grown adults.

Lucy worked as a respected and admired bookkeeper for many area businesses/individuals over the years. She was very good with numbers and had great customer service skills. After retiring from Manchester Wood, she went to work at the Dorset Elementary School, a couple hours per day, serving the children breakfast. This gave her great joy and purpose. She loved to cook, read, watch the birds and plant flowers anywhere and everywhere. Most importantly, spending time with her family at "The Miracle" camp was one of her greatest joys and ours.

Lucille is survived by a daughter Patricia(Patty)Thompson (Ed), sons Steven(Tammy), Dennis, Sean Casey(Shelley), grandchildren: Stephanie & Zachary Thompson, Stevie, Owen, Brooke & Tyler McNulty and Alexis Casey; four great-grandchildren: Katie & Morgan Roy and Brady & Liam McNulty, her dear friend Bonnie Slade and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved son Richard (Rick) McNulty in 2017, her significant other Claude (Lefty) Casey, her parents, her sisters: Mary (Toni) Horvath, Jean Kelly and her brother Charles "Vito" Ricci.

In honoring Lucy's request there will be no public services and a private burial will take place at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Dorset. A small celebration of her life will take place in the near future. If friends desire, memorial contributions can be made to the VNA/hospice of the SW region.
