Chester Frank Koscinski of Arlington, VT passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 23rd, just under a month before his 92nd birthday. Chester was one of Joseph Francis Koscinski and Apolonia (Kowal) Koscinski's five children. Chester and his twin brother, Joe, were born minutes apart in Turners Falls, MA in 1932. He also had three sisters Irene (1930-2020), Amelia "Milka" (1931-2004) and Mary "Mancha" (1935-2009). Chester grew up right next door from the love of his life, Dorothy "Dottie" (Letourneau) Koscinski, who he told to wait for him to get back from serving in the U.S Army during the Korean War. The two were married in 1956 and lived in Western MA until moving to Vermont with their 4 children, Leonard, Pam, Michael (1960-2021), and Brian. After being honorably discharged from the U.S Army, Chester spent most of his professional life working for the Coca-Cola company as a regional sales manager before continuing to work at Burr and Burton for another 25+ years. Chester was loved and cherished by his communities. He was a one-of-a-kind. A kind and giving person with a love for making people laugh. He had a one-liner for every situation and, jokes aside, they all were rooted in sage wisdom. Chester is survived by his wife: Dottie Koscinski, his brother: Joe Koscinski, his children: Leonard Koscinski, Pam Malone, Brian Koscinski, daughter-in-law: Becky Koscinski, his grandchildren: Chris Dufresne, Sarah Hernandez, Dylan Malone, Amanda Butler, Marlee Malone, Liam Malone, great grandchildren: Bridget Dufresne, Cayden Dufresne, Manny Hernandez, Ava Hernandez, Blake Butler, Rhett Butler, and three great great grandchildren. Chester is predeceased by his son Michael Koscinski (1960-2021). Chet touched countless lives, and he was a pillar of the community for many years. His life will be celebrated on Wednesday October 30th at the Federated Church of East Arlington at 2:00PM. All are welcome to attend. Donations in his honor can be made to the Federated Church of East Arlington.
